Mock interviews
Practice out loud with a voice AI interviewer, then get scored feedback on every session.
Practice the real thing — out loud, on the spot — without scheduling anyone.
What it is
Mock interviews are voice-based practice sessions with an AI interviewer. You pick the interview type and a persona, the AI asks questions tailored to your role, you answer out loud, and at the end you get a score out of 10 plus specific feedback on what went well and what to work on.
Availability: Mock interviews are part of the Starter and Pro plans. On the free plan the sidebar item shows a lock.

Tips & best practices
- Find a quiet room and a good mic. It's voice-based — clear audio means a clean transcript and better feedback.
- Paste the job description. It tailors the questions to the role you're actually chasing.
- Practice for a specific match. From a job matcher result, use Practice with mock interview to pre-fill the role.
- Treat it like the real thing. Answer in full, out loud — reading notes silently defeats the purpose.
- Do a few. Feedback compounds; the third session usually sounds noticeably sharper than the first.
Troubleshooting / FAQ
- "Microphone access required." Click the mic icon in your browser's address bar, allow access, and refresh. Mock interviews are voice-based, so a working mic is required.
- The interviewer's voice didn't play. The session still works — read the question on screen and answer normally.
- My answer was cut off. There's a 5-minute limit per answer; it auto-submits at the cap. Keep answers focused.
- Can I redo a question? Not within a session — answers are one-shot, in order. To start over, delete the session and create a new one.
- Can I resume? Yes — an in-progress session offers Resume interview to continue from where you left off.
