CV builder & public profile

Turn your profile into a designed CV, export it to PDF, and share a public page at /cv/yourname.

Your profile, rendered as a CV worth sending — and a link worth sharing.

What it is

Upskiller builds your CV straight from your profile, so there's no separate document to maintain. You pick from six professionally designed templates, export a print-ready PDF, and — if you want — publish a public profile page at yoursite/cv/yourname that you can drop into applications, emails, or your LinkedIn.

When to use it

Once your profile is reasonably complete and you need something to send or share — applying to a role, networking, or building a personal-brand link.

How to use it

1. Polish the content

Your CV content is your profile, so sharpen it on the Profile / CV page first:

  • Analyze CV for a scored report and an improvement list.
  • Suggest improvements (the sparkle button) to rewrite your summary or any experience bullet.

2. Choose a template and export

Click Export PDF at the top of the profile page to open the export view. Pick a template — the live preview updates as you switch:

  • Classic — traditional serif, centered header
  • Modern — bold header, clean sections
  • Minimal — light and airy, lots of whitespace
  • Creative — colored sidebar with accents
  • Executive — dark header, formal gold accents
  • Tech — developer-style, monospace

Click Save as PDF to download it (named like Your_Name_CV.pdf).

3. Publish a public page (optional)

On the profile page, open the Public page section and click Edit:

  1. Tick Make this CV publicly accessible.
  2. Choose a URL slug (letters, numbers, and hyphens). We check availability live.
  3. Click Save. Your CV is now live at yoursite/cv/your-slug.

Use the Copy button to grab the link. Visitors see your CV in your chosen template — no Upskiller account required.

Tips & best practices

  • Match the template to the field. Tech and Modern suit engineering; Executive suits senior and leadership roles; Classic and Minimal are safe everywhere.
  • Re-export when it matters. Tailor your profile (or use the job matcher's tailoring suggestions), then export a fresh PDF for that application.
  • Pick a clean slug. firstname-lastname reads better on an application than john123.
  • Public is opt-in. Your page stays private until you tick the box — and you can switch it off anytime.

Troubleshooting / FAQ

  • "No CV found." Complete your profile first — the CV is generated from it.
  • My slug won't save. "This slug is already taken" means someone else has it — pick another. Save stays disabled until the slug shows as available.
  • My public link shows "CV Not Found." Either the page isn't public (re-check the box) or the slug changed. Confirm both in the Public page section.
  • The PDF is taking a moment. Rendering can take a few seconds; the button reads Generating PDF… until it's ready.
