Interview cheat sheet
A personalized HR-interview prep sheet — your pitch, STAR stories, and answers to likely questions.
The blank page before an interview — filled in, in your words.
What it is
The interview cheat sheet turns your profile into a single, HR-interview-ready reference: a "tell me about yourself" pitch, your strengths and weaknesses, STAR stories, answers to the questions you'll probably get, framings for the tricky ones, smart questions to ask back, and day-of advice. Everything is editable, so you can shape it into answers you'd actually say.
When to use it
A few days before an HR or recruiter screen — enough time to read it, edit it into your own voice, and rehearse. Regenerate it whenever your target role changes.
How to use it
- Open Interview cheat sheet and click Generate cheat sheet. For the best result, complete your profile and add a few background documents first.
- Read through the sections:
- Tell me about yourself — toggle between Short (~30 sec) and Long (~90 sec) versions
- Strengths & weaknesses — each with evidence or a constructive framing
- STAR method stories — Situation, Task, Action, Result for each theme
- Probable questions — tap to expand; categorized Background, Behavioral, Motivation, or Role fit
- Tricky questions — prepared approaches for the awkward ones
- Questions to ask — pick 2–3 for the end of your interview
- General advice — day-of tips
- Edit anything. Click any text to edit it; click away to save.
- Watch for the Review & personalize badge — it flags answers the AI filled in because your profile was thin. Edit those first so they're true to you.
To start over, click Regenerate. If you've made edits, you'll be asked to confirm — regenerating replaces everything with a fresh AI version.
Tips & best practices
- Feed it real material first. A complete profile and a few background documents mean fewer invented answers and more of your real stories.
- Clear every "Review & personalize" badge. Those are the lines most likely to ring false in the room.
- Make the pitch yours. Read the 30- and 90-second versions aloud and trim until they sound like you, not a script.
- Rehearse the tricky questions. They're where most interviews wobble — having a framing ready is half the battle.
Troubleshooting / FAQ
- "Generation failed. Please try again." Retry — if it persists, check that your profile has at least some experience and skills.
- Some answers feel generic. That's the Review & personalize content — your profile was light there. Add detail to your profile or documents and regenerate, or edit the lines directly.
- Will regenerating lose my edits? Yes — that's why it asks you to confirm. Regenerate only when you want a clean slate.
- The STAR stories section says it was added later. Click Regenerate to rebuild the sheet with STAR stories included.
- Can I export it to PDF? Not at the moment — the cheat sheet lives in your dashboard, where you can edit and rehearse from it anytime.
