Interview copilot

A native macOS app that hears interview questions and streams answers into a private overlay — invisible to Zoom.

Live, private help during the real interview — invisible to screen sharing.

What it is

Interview Copilot is a native macOS app (Windows is coming soon). During a live interview it hears the question, reads your screen, and streams a suggested answer into a private overlay that's invisible to screen capture — hidden from Zoom, Meet, Teams, Slack, and OBS. It's tuned to your resume, so the answers reflect your real background.

Availability: The app is free to download with any plan. Live answer sessions are part of the Starter plan (15 minutes) and the Pro plan (unlimited).

When to use it

During real remote interviews — especially behavioral, technical, coding, or system-design rounds where a prompt at the right moment keeps you on track. Practice with mock interviews first; use Copilot when it counts.

How to use it

Install the app

  1. On the Copilot page in your dashboard, click Download for macOS to get the DMG.
  2. Open the DMG and drag Upskiller Copilot into your Applications folder.
  3. Launch it, sign in with the same Google account you use for Upskiller, and allow microphone access.

Requirements: macOS 13 Ventura or later, microphone access, and an active Upskiller account.

Connect the app to your account

The first time you sign in, the app shows a code and links you to a connect page in your browser:

  1. Open the connect page (the app takes you there).
  2. Sign in if prompted, confirm it's your account, and click Allow.
  3. You'll see You're connected — return to the app and it signs you in automatically.

In the interview

The app listens for the question, then — when you press its answer shortcut (⌘↩) — streams a response word-by-word into the overlay so you can read while it writes. It routes behavioral, technical, coding, and system-design questions to purpose-built answer templates, in any of 13 languages.

Tips & best practices

  • Set it up before the day. Install, connect, and grant mic access well ahead — not five minutes before a call.
  • Do a dry run. Open the overlay on a test call so you know where it sits and how the shortcut feels.
  • Glance, don't read aloud. Use it as a prompt to stay on track in your own words — not a script to recite.
  • Lean on your profile. Copilot is tuned to your resume, so a complete profile makes its answers more like yours.

Troubleshooting / FAQ

  • My connect code expired. Codes are short-lived for security — reopen the app to generate a fresh one.
  • The connect page says it was cancelled. You clicked Cancel — reopen the app and try again.
  • It can't hear the interviewer. Grant microphone access to the app, and check your system input device.
  • Is it really hidden from Zoom? Yes — the overlay is excluded from macOS screen capture, so it doesn't appear in shared screens or recordings.
  • Is there a Windows version? Not yet — Windows is in active development.
