Community

Crowdsourced interview recaps, company reviews, and salary data from other members.

Real interview recaps, company reviews, and salary data — from people who've been through it.

What it is

Community is a feed of crowdsourced intelligence from other Upskiller members: interview experiences, company reviews, question banks, salary data points, and tactics that worked. It's also wired into the job matcher — when you analyze a role, the matcher draws on community posts about that company to personalize your result.

Availability: Community is included on the Starter and Pro plans. On the free plan you'll see a preview of what's inside and a prompt to upgrade.

When to use it

When you're researching a company, want to know what their interviews are actually like, are benchmarking an offer, or have intel of your own to share. Posting helps the next person — and you'll see theirs in return.

How to use it

Browse and search

Filter the feed with the tabs — All, Interviews, Reviews, Questions, Salary, Tips — or use the search box to find posts by title, company, or role.

Read a post

Click any card to open it. You'll see the full write-up, any salary breakdown, and reported interview questions. Upvote the posts you find useful (the heart icon), and add your own thoughts in the comments.

Share a post

Click New post to open Share with the community. The first time, you'll choose how your name appears — Full name or Name + initial (for example, "Nick R."). Then:

  1. Pick a type: Interview experience 🎯, Company review 🏢, Question bank ❓, Salary point 💰, or Tip 💡.
  2. Add a title and body (both required), plus optional company, role, and location.
  3. Fill any type-specific fields — outcome and difficulty for interviews, a rating for reviews, base and level for salary, or one question per line for question banks.
  4. Click Publish.

Tips & best practices

  • Be specific. Name the rounds, the kinds of questions, and what you'd do differently — vague posts help no one.
  • Add company and role. Tagged posts are easier for others to find and feed the matcher's company insights.
  • Give salary context. Level and location are what make a data point useful.
  • Search before you apply. A few minutes reading recaps for your target company is some of the highest-value prep there is.

Troubleshooting / FAQ

  • I only see an upgrade screen. Community is a subscriber feature — it's available on the Starter and Pro plans.
  • "Title and body are required." Both fields must be filled before you can publish.
  • It asked how my name should appear. That's a one-time choice on your first post; it shows on your posts and comments, and you can change it later in settings.
  • Can I delete my post? Yes — open it and use the delete icon. You can only delete your own posts and comments.
